We have many volunteers/retreatants that are involved with our ministry - without them we would not be able to operate the way we do. Those that have been in contact with our volunteers/retreatants can feel the devotion they radiate. Since we are frequently asked about positions, we have developed an application process for those who are interested. The information contained in the application forms helps us to know more about the applicant's previous involvement in our teachings, as well as about their specific work experience and how that might be used in the most helpful way.

Placement
When volunteering/visiting with us, you may be participating either at our physical community in the USA (Utah) or via your own home base. Once you have sent in your application forms telling us where you feel guided to be, a decision regarding your placement will be determined through Guidance, by the monastery residents.

Our shared Purpose
The volunteers/retreatants that come to join in are dedicating their lives to mind-training as a means of being in prayer and listening to the Spirit's Guidance. We live a quiet, monastic lifestyle with a devotion to the Holy Spirit. We are living in the miracle together with mighty companions, and it takes great willingness to trust and follow. Positions and areas are given to volunteers/retreatants on the basis of what is most helpful for the whole. Skills that have been learned in the past are now being used in service. Our goal is to heal our own minds and transcend the dream of time and space (ego). This literally means the undoing of the perceptual world of attachments and beliefs in the mind.

Communication
There is a lot of open communication within the community. We expose hidden thoughts in the mind that block the awareness of Love's presence. Our goal is Love, and our highest priority is the shared universal experience. Keeping our minds clean through forgiveness allows the Holy Spirit to use us to be in our function with God, which truly is joy. Our environment is much like that of Franciscan monks.

Meetings in Utah
Morning and lunch meetings are available to everyone who feels the need to clear thoughts, pray, or meditate, and then we focus on our tasks for the day. We work on all of our projects as a backdrop for healing our minds together, and we support the ministry around the clock. Our projects include updating websites and materials, working on publication and media projects, maintaining and cleaning houses, conducting banking and mailing tasks, making DVDs and CDs, answering e-mails, providing phone counseling, planning tours, making travel arrangements, and working on our Mystical Mind Training (MMT) program. Each volunteer/retreatant is devoted to his or her area. We spontaneously meet each other for meals or discussion about projects, and we usually have movies in the evenings and enjoy time just basking together! Our days are very full. We are highly focused in the projects, and it is our JOY to stay in Purpose! Our devotion and commitment are the key elements to the ministry. Each volunteer/retreatant has a vital role for the whole. We are so grateful!

The Messengers
David and the rest of the Messengers of Peace travel all over the world shining and sharing the good news, so the time that they are available to be at the communities full-time is very limited.

Cost
Our volunteers/retreatants receive no financial compensation and get no perks or tangible rewards for their devotion to Awakening. The benefits given and received are entirely Spiritual and are always purely and simply a State of Mind. Volunteers/Retreatants will make contributions of 1000 USD per month for their stay at the monastery, which includes food, lodging, utilities and free access to the Mystical Mind Training Program (MMT).

We are very considerate and mindful when it comes feeling out who is guided to be with us as a volunteer/retreatant, since it is based on relationship. It is a commitment for everyone concerned, so as well as the practical considerations, there is a vibrational feel involved with the decision. The prerequisite to coming and joining in one of our communities is that you have attended at least one week-long retreat and have been in close communication with the Messengers since that experience.
